Puliyana Vasu Sreenijin (P.V. Sreenijin) is a Public Figure in Kerala, India. Politician, Ernakulam District Sports Council president, Ernakulam District Football Association President and Member of Kerala State Sports Council. Lives in Keerthi Nagar, Elamakkara, Kochi. Born in 1976 in a middle class family at Kalamassery. His Father late Mr. M. A. Vasu was an employee at Premier Tyres Kalamassery and also President of Kalamassery Mandalam Congress Committee. His Mother Mrs. Sreemathi Vasu a housewife. He has two Siblings Mrs. Sreeraji Manikandan and Mr. P. V. Sreeviji.
He has successfully completed his matriculation from Govt. High School Kalamassery. He was an active member of the Kerala Student Union [KSU] since his schooldays. He was elected class representative for three consecutive years. Thereafter he became the KSU unit President and he was also elected as the General Secretary of Kalamassery Mandalam Youth Congress Committee. He has successfully completed his higher studies from ST. Pauls College Kalamassery, Maharajas College Ernakulam and Govt. Law College Ernakulam. Throughout the college days he was very active in student politics and was holding various positions in KSU.
After Completing the Law Graduation he enrolled as a Lawyer from Bar Council of Kerala in the year 2003. Thereafter He got an admission for LLM studies in The University of Northampton [LONDON]. Recognising his political and academic excellence The Indian National Congress Party gave him an opportunity in 2006 to contest the Kerala Legislative Assembly elections from Njarakkal Constituency in Ernakulam District as UDF Candidate. He had lost the election to the nearest rival candidate [M. A. Purushothaman of CPM] by a very small margin of 2000 votes. Thereafter he was elected as the state Vice President of Youth Congress and Member of the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee.
In 2010 there was an allegation raised against him on disproportionate assets. He immediately resigned from the state youth congress leadership and faced the enquiry. He successfully overcome the allegations and finally the Court exonerated him from all accusations. An ex- Junior district football player himself Mr. P. V. Sreenijin is now serving as the Vice President of Ernakulam district football Association and member of The Sports Council Ernakulam. Adv. P.V. Sreenijin and his wife Adv. K.B. Sony [D/O Justice K.G. Balakrishnan, Former Supreme Court Chief Justice of India and Ex Chairman of The National Human Rights Commission] are practicing at the High Court of Kerala. They have Two daughters, Keerthana S Nijin and Hrithika S Nijin both of whom are studying at Choice School Thripunithura.
